As someone who has been living on average of 4 hours sleep a night for the last 3+ months I highly disagree with those theories. For one that CNN news story is almost 5 years old, and to say you can't train your body to get used to less sleep is rediculous. The only problem I have sometimes is on my commute home from work, I have been known to partially drive the 1 hr long trip completely oblivious to my surroundings, even going so far as to not remember driving between certain areas. No, I don't need to get more sleep, why last night I had just a little over 2 hrs sleep and I haven't even dozed off at work, it's all a matter of mind control. Sleep, hah, it's for the weak.

You know I seem to remember reading that JFK at one point could go a whole 36 hours on 4 hours of sleep without even a yawn... Then again he had one of THE worst possible jobs in history. (I could never be president. No matter what you do, there is always a big group of people that hate you.)

sleep deprevation is worse if you fall asleep, i got hit by some guy that fell asleep driving 6 or 7 years ago and my car got totaled :..(

thats absurd. i did an all nighter, and then drove someone for like an hour. i did NOT feel drunk. sheesh it felt exactly the same, only i cared less about how i was driving.

i think that cnn article is bull. now sleep deprivation AND alcohol will make you have the same effects as alcohol. but thats just dumb
